MAC Eyewear  Our Story and Ethos 

Thank you for visiting our website. Whether you are a current MAC Eyewear stockist looking to view our new releases, or are browsing eyewear websites looking for new and exciting collections, we are confident that you will find frames that will excite you and with our new collections in March 2026, will now offer you solutions to provide quality eyewear, across more market segments. 

 

Established in 2005, Mark had been working in sales to independent opticians for 10 years. but had grown increasingly frustrated by his employers decisions to allow the chains, up to and including supermarkets to buy their products. So once Spring evening, MAC Eyewear was born..  

 

It was April 2005. 

 

Fully owned by Mark (A) Carpenter (hence the MAC), MAC Eyewear has continually looked to strengthen its portfolio of unique, individual and fabulous eyewear collections. Our remit is to provide you, the independent optician, with eyewear that is individual and that will differentiate you from the mainstream. We have had to rebuild our portfilio on several occasions, as frames, colours, styling changes, so do we. Our collections, often handmade, bespoke with iGreen and are either eco-friendly or eco-aware and are globally sourced. They are manufactured using bespoke materials such as mother of pearl, feathers, leaves and carbon fibre and Pure Titanium Our portfolio encompasses handmade and hand painted frames as well as trend forming and more mainstream styles. 

 

Over the last few years, Mark's wife Tatyana, has been instrumental in the new direction for the company. Re-focussed on marketing and now with the new collections, she has had a huge impact.. thank you Tatyana. 

 

Joined by Helen Halpin in 2024 as a junior partner, MAC Eyewear continues to evolve and seek our fresh and innovotive collections. New for 2026 is a new collection of colourful frames in MAC Colour and now David Green & mOOnstone, with the mOOnstone collection featuring frames for a very attractive price point, to reflect current market trends, of excellent frames at very competitive prices. Also new is Pier Martino for those looking for amazing frames with crystals and Lara D'.. for frames even more 'WOW' factor. 

 

And to continue our journey, we have returned to the start of ours! Over 30 years ago Mark and Helen met in their first jobs in opitcal sales. Selling Pure & Beta Titanium frames, so for March 2026 we launch Seiko eyewear.. the portfolio is now complete. Amazing frames in every major segment. 

 

Our existing collections also re-invent, with new shapes and colours in Ronit Furst, amazing styles in Jisco (including new petite styles) ... the portfolio is unbelieveable... it really is..
